FIDONET

A long long time ago when the internet was far far away there was FIDONET. It was used to send info thru modems in a relay type way but is now almost about dead, but for a few folks out there who use it. If you want a peek into what was in the begining this is a good read.

My friend Larry had a Commodore 64 with a modem and would receive a call from Australia at a prearranged time of the night, and then combine what information he had gathered from others around his "region" of the "zone" and relay the data to Australia and then on to Arizona.
